FEHD FOUNDATION is a women-led, non-profit organization established in Nigeria to promote socioeconomic welfare and act as a catalyst for positive and sustainable change in the lives of rural dwellers, especially women and girls.
We believe that empowering women and children is the foundation for stronger families, thriving communities, and national development. Guided by compassion, inclusion, and accountability, our work is driven by the belief that every individual regardless of their background deserves equal access to education, quality healthcare, and opportunities for growth.
We work in rural communities where cultural beliefs and traditional norm practices place women and girls at risks of being denied their Rights. Thus, there is a constant struggle for these women and girls to thrive in the midst of their rights violation including wife battering, denial of property and heritage Rights, their female children are embattled with taboos and harmful practices like Female Genital Mutilation. These are among the problems FEHD Foundation is working on. We place special emphasis on investing in rural women and girls because our long years of experience show that empowering them benefits whole communities.
